How can I host a GCCC crew and how much will it cost?
Project Sponsors provide a portion of the costs for the work provided on a per-crew-week basis. A ten person crew, two leaders and eight members, costs Gulf Coast Conservation Corps over $7,000 per week to operate. We ask that sponsors provide just $4,000 of that amount. We bring a match of $3,000 to your project! For your investment, a project sponsor receives nearly 400 hours of work.
Cost of Crew to GCCC $7,000+
Sponsor Costs $4,000
This base cost does not include mileage costs or increases necessary for the Corps to perform certain types of more difficult service projects. Final costs are negotiated on a project by project basis. GCCC will partner with project sponsors to apply for a variety of grants that can cover these costs.
For a project application, contact Lee Ann Kendrick, Program Director, at lkendrick@gcccorps.org. Once you’ve submitted a brief application, the work can begin!
